It is of great stupidity to neglect the things that are profitable and necessary, in order to choose to think about that which is curious and hurtful. O God, who is truth, make me one with You in everlasting love. The more a person is at home with oneself, and becomes of a single heart, the easier it is to understand higher things because one receives wisdom from above. A pure, single, and stable spirit is not distracted though it is employed in many works; because it does all for the honour of God, and being at rest within, seeks not itself in anything it does. A good and devout person plans within oneself the things which one should do. This should also be our undertaking, to conquer ourselves, and daily to wax stronger, and to grow in holiness. A humble knowledge of oneself is a surer way to God than a deep search after learning. A person is wise who does the will of God and forsakes one’s own will, if one understands the characteristics of the Holy Spirit and the God...

If we see another openly sin or commit some dreadful offence, we should be careful not to think better of ourselves, for we don’t know how long we shall be able to stand. “Brothers and sisters, if someone in your group does something wrong, you who are spiritual should go to that person and gently help make them right again. But be careful, because you might be tempted to sin too. By helping each other with your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” Saint Paul Galatians 6:1-2 We are all frail, but don’t assume that anyone is frailer than you.   Wow! “If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load” Saint Paul Galatians 6:3-5

The more we know, the better we understand, the stricter will be the judge unless our life is also more holy.
