Adapted Lord’s prayer, for real, today

By SA2 – from Saint Luke’s Biography of Christ chapter 11

This is a sample of “praying scripture”; Take the Lord’s Prayer and add your words to it.  Be prepared for the Holy Spirit to give you different words each time you pray it.  He’s quite a creative God.
May we honestly pray:

Our Abba(daddy) Father, who art in heaven

The one that teaches us how to be responsible to the degree we can handle responsibility; The one who loves Mom like the Catholic’s love Mother Mary and more; The one who enjoys spending time with us.
Help us to respect Your Name
so much so that You are proud of us and others are proud of You
Give us today, everything that we need
and help us to be grateful for all the abundance especially when some folks still live in a world without water and electricity. Help us to realize some of our gifts are for us, and some are for others.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespasses against us
And help us to make amends as You require us to and help us to learn something new every day.
May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
with no bombs and intentional killings and lots of food and water for everyone
Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory.
Forever and ever.
Amen
and women J
