God's will


There is scarcely anything where you have such need to lie to yourself, as in seeing and suffering those things that are contrary to your will, especially when what is commanded to be done, seems to you inconvenient or useless. (CIoC)

Mediate on Jesus’s greatest struggle to do God’s will.  You’ll find it in the biographies of Christ written by Saint Matthew 26:31-56, Saint Mark 14:27-52, Doctor Luke 22:39-53, Saint John 16-17.
·        Did Jesus not know God’s will or did He not want to do God’s will?
·        How helpful were His disciples during this struggle?  Did His Father expose enough of the before and after to benefit Him through this incredible challenge?
·        Who all was helped through what Jesus did?
 
Do you think Jesus got ripped off by obeying His Father? (this requires further reading of the New Testament to fully digest this)
